The Sultan’s Penthouse Suite is the largest and most individual accommodation at Dersaadet, occupying the hotel’s highest residential floor with broad views towards the Sea of Marmara and across Old Istanbul.
At 58 square metres (643 square feet), the suite has the proportions and character of a private room at the top of an old Istanbul house rather than a conventional hotel room. Turkish carpets, rich fabrics, traditional furniture and carefully chosen decorative pieces surround its most distinctive architectural feature: the hand-crafted wooden ceiling.
Large windows bring the city and sea into the room, while a private balcony provides another place from which to take in the surroundings. The suite also includes a sitting area and a private whirlpool bath.
Spacious yet full of detail, the Sultan’s Penthouse Suite is Dersaadet at its most characteristic—a room for guests who want both the space and the atmosphere of the house.
